Honestly, when I think about it, every day of my life is a good day.
Every day is a good day not because life is perfect, but because:
- Even though life is unfair, God is good, all the time and all the time God is good.
- I’m alive and the good purpose for my life is yet to be fulfilled
- My parents are alive and healthy. The love they share helps me to see God in them and others that surround me.
- My brother is a Kool Kid- got my father’s heart and his integrity inspires me
- And there are times when I look at them and think “who needs Modern Family, these people are crazy!”
- My family members and friends are healthy and alive. Even when life presents them with challenges, things always work out for the good for them.
- Finally, there is always good in the world. When I think I can’t see it, I look around and always find it.
Now others might have different opinions on what makes “every day a good
day.” But it all boils down to one
thing: Having a right and appreciative attitude for life and what it gives you.
When you learn to appreciate everything you have and greet everyday with
gratitude in your heart, then everyday will be a good day. Even if some days do
not fall under your definition of good, the fact that you are alive presents opportunity
for you to make the day good.
You might believe what I have stated is hogwash, but the truth remains:
nothing beats a good attitude.
You can choose to define your day as bad and be unhappy because of the things
others are doing or not doing to you in order to make you ultimately happy. You
can even go as far as to blame your misery (lack of peace) or unhappiness on
others. But the reality is, if you don’t change your attitude and choose to respond/
react to life in a positive way, the object of your unhappiness might change,
but you will always be unhappy and see your days as bad.
Face the truth; the circumstances of your life, whether negative can’t
make you unhappy if you choose to have the right attitude. Your thoughts and
attitude about your everyday life will determine whether you have a good day every
day.
What a beautiful piece, a bit too long but nonetheless worth reading.
